Most site selection tools look at one dimension. Sentinel combines four — because whether a site is deliverable depends on all of them, and the interactions matter more than any single factor.

Generation assets
Anaerobic digestion plants, solar farms, wind sites, hydro and battery storage across the UK — each with capacity, status, and private-wire feasibility scored against our deployment model.
Layer 02
Grid headroom
Substation demand and generation capacity across DNO networks — showing where private wire unlocks sites that grid queues won't reach for a decade, and where the grid simply can't take more load.
Layer 03
Fibre reach
Major fibre backbones and known dark fibre routes mapped against site locations. Because modular compute needs connectivity as much as it needs power.
Layer 04
IX proximity
Distance to the UK's Internet Exchanges — LINX, IXManchester, LONAP, IXLeeds and others — which directly affects latency profile and tenant appeal for inference workloads.

Before you ask.

Is the data in Sentinel live?
Generation asset data and Internet Exchange locations are based on published and commercially available datasets. Grid headroom is a modelled view built from DNO publications and our engineering judgement — it's representative, not a real-time feed. Fibre routes reflect known backbones plus our own field intelligence. We'll tell you exactly what's behind any number we give you.
Is this a competitor to Beyond Grid's infrastructure business?
No — it's the intelligence layer that makes our infrastructure business work. Sentinel is how we decide where to deploy. We're opening access because the same questions we answer internally are questions operators, asset owners and investors are paying external consultants to answer less well.
Who shouldn't use Sentinel?
Anyone looking for a hyperscale site selection tool. Sentinel is built specifically for modular, distributed data centre deployment — 1–20 MW per site, co-located with renewable generation. If you need a 100 MW greenfield site, go elsewhere.
Why yellow-green? Why not Beyond Grid's main colour?
Sentinel is a distinct product line from the private-wire infrastructure side of Beyond Grid. Visual distinction helps people process that. Same company, different offering.
