Generation · Land · Constrained export
If you own generation the grid will not take — a digester running below capacity, an array curtailed at midday, a hydro scheme with an export tariff barely worth metering — we may be able to put computing load next to it instead. You keep the asset. The electricity stops being an export problem and starts being a product.
Exported to the grid, a kilowatt-hour earns pennies — when the grid will take it at all. Turned into AI inference, the same kilowatt-hour is worth many times that. We build modular compute next to generation, behind the meter, and route AI workloads to it. No grid connection to wait for, because the load never touches the grid.
That is the whole business. We are not brokering your site to a data centre developer and we are not asking you to sell it. We are asking whether your energy can do something more valuable where it already is.
Four things decide whether a site works. They are the same four layers our Sentinel platform scores nationally, which is how we choose where to go next.
Anaerobic digestion, solar, wind, hydro or storage — on site or close enough for a private wire. Baseload beats intermittent, which is why AD and hydro interest us most, but an array with a battery behind it also works.
Curtailment, a poor export price, a connection queue you cannot wait out, or an expiring subsidy. The stronger your export position, the less we can offer you — we are honest about that.
Compute needs fibre as much as it needs power. We map backbone and dark fibre routes against the site, and distance to the nearest Internet Exchange, because both affect what workloads can run there.
A yard, a hardstanding, a spare building, a container footprint. Modular means modular — this is not a hyperscale campus and we are not asking for one.
Every site is different and we will not pretend otherwise, but arrangements generally fall into one of three shapes. Which one suits you depends mostly on how much capital you want to put in and how much of the upside you want.
A private wire power purchase agreement at a rate above what export earns you, plus a modest lease for the footprint. We fund, install, own and operate the compute. You take a better price for electricity you were struggling to sell, with no capital exposure and nothing new to run.
You contribute site and power, we contribute the platform, hardware and customers, and the compute revenue is split. More exposure to how well the compute sells, and more reward if it sells well. Suited to owners who see this as a business rather than a tenancy.
You fund the compute yourself and it joins our network under our platform. You keep the asset and the majority of what it earns; we take a share for operating it, finding the work and carrying the customer relationship.
If you are not ready to commit to anything, we will still tell you what we think the site is worth doing. We would rather have an honest map of British stranded generation than a pipeline of sites we have talked ourselves into.
Where it is, what generates, roughly how much, and what you currently do with the output. Half a page is plenty. A grid connection reference or an export statement helps but is not needed to start.
Generation, grid headroom, fibre reach and Internet Exchange proximity, resolved into a view of whether the site is deliverable. You get the result whether or not it is good news. No charge for a site you are offering us.
If the desk work holds up, we visit — the generation, the metering, the ground, the route a private wire would take, and where a container would sit. This is also where you decide whether you want to work with us.
A short document covering price, term, footprint and who is responsible for what, before either of us spends money on lawyers. Nothing is exclusive until you have seen numbers you are content with.
Our software is real. Beyond Grid Fabric — the control plane that routes AI workloads to nodes, records the energy each job used and produces a carbon ledger for it — is built and tested. Sentinel, the platform we use to score sites, is live and is how we found most of the sites we are talking to.
Our first production node is being commissioned now. Until it has run real customer workloads we will not quote you a power price, promise you a delivery date, or tell you what a site will earn. Anyone who does that at this stage is guessing, and you would be right to discount it.
So what we are offering you today is a serious assessment of your site, a straight answer about whether it fits, and a place in the queue if it does. If you need contracted income this year, we are not yet the right people — and we would rather say so now than take up six months of your time.
A real reply from one of the two founders, not an auto-response — usually within a few working days. If the site clearly does not fit, we will say so in that first reply and tell you why, so you can stop thinking about it.
